This major installation, made in response to the Dutch Royal Family’s Golden Carriage, was exhibited in the Historical “Golden Coach - Gouden Koets” exhibition that was officially opened by King Willem Alexander on the 17th of June 2021. The exhibition was on view until the end of February 2022 at the Amsterdam Museum.

The installation - Heren XVII | VOC – Kamer Amsterdam – Rethinking Coen’s Vision Part 1, was exhibited at Arti et Amicitiae in Amsterdam the Netherlands on 28 May – 27 June 2021. Part of an ongoing intensive research and travelling exhibition, Heren XVII - Heren Zeventien is made out of 6 Chapters that grow which each Chapter and in each city. This ongoing project will be presented in the cities where the VOC Board of Directors were based.

The first genocide of the twentieth century, though not well known, was committed by Germans between 1904-1907 in the country we know today as Namibia, where they exterminated thousands of Herero and Nama people and subjected the surviving indigenous men, women, and children to forced labor. The installation “The Third Reich-Herero and Nama Genocide Part 1“ is part of an ongoing indepth research project about this unknown history.
